Tribute to a little boy

Bobby age 3, strangled by his mother's boyfriend, Ray Ferrell, in Riverside Ca. during a visit w/ her. I will never forget him or stop loving his sweet memory.
clipped from www.helium.com

It has been 20 years now,

so what does time heal?

I'll try to describe the way

that I feel.

I once had an angel,

that lived at my house.

A waif, he was once,

but for a moment he wasn't.

He loved chocolate milk,

and being part of a family.

All the littlest things,

made him so happy!

B-ball and the sandbox

with buckets and trucks.

Taking baths,being dried off,

then powdered,and p.j.'d,

Ah, does it matter anymore?

It was hard to make sense,

of a little boy's death,

but Bobby was murdered.

The last thing he said,

"One more kiss for you,

one more for you Mommy"

Then I felt the goosebumps,

as the car rode away.

A yellow rosebud appeared,

on the day he was buried.

Maybe time heals,somehow.

But we never forget,

Our memories are alive,

so private and quiet.

I can turn on at will,

and hear his sweet laugh,

so softly,

and it fades out.

His little light never will.

Since 1955, Westboro Baptist

1991, WBC took her ministry to the streets,
conducting over 34,000 peaceful demonstrations
(to date) opposing the fag lifestyle
of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth.
In response, america bombed WBC. Now, God

LOS ANGELES - A woman who lay bleeding on the emergency room floor of a troubled inner-city hospital died after 911 dispatchers refused to contact paramedics or an ambulance to take her to another facility, newly released tapes of the emergency calls reveal.

Edith Isabel Rodriguez, 43, died of a perforated bowel on May 9 at Martin Luther King Jr.-Harbor Hospital. Her death was ruled accidental by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Relatives said Rodriguez was bleeding from the mouth and writhing in pain for 45 minutes while she was at a hospital waiting area. Experts have said she could have survived had she been treated early enough.

County and state authorities are now investigating Rodriguez’s death. Relatives reported she died as police were wheeling her out of the hospital after the officers they had asked to help Rodriguez arrested her instead on a parole violation. Sheriff’s Department spokesman Duane Allen said Wednesday that the investigation is ongoing.

In the recordings of two 911 calls that day, first obtained by the Los Angeles Times under a California Public Records Act request, callers pleaded for help for Rodriguez but were referred to hospital staff instead.

“I’m in the emergency room. My wife is dying and the nurses don’t want to help her out,” Rodriguez’s boyfriend, Jose Prado, is heard saying in Spanish through an interpreter on the tapes.

“What’s wrong with her?” a female dispatcher asked.

“She’s vomiting blood,” Prado said.

“OK, and why aren’t they helping her?” the dispatcher asked.

‘They’re just watching her’
“They’re watching her there and they’re not doing anything. They’re just watching her,” Prado said.

The dispatcher told Prado to contact a doctor and then said paramedics wouldn’t pick her up because she was already in a hospital. She later told him to contact county police officers at a security desk.

A second 911 call was placed eight minutes later by a bystander who requested that an ambulance be sent to take Rodriguez to another hospital for care.

“She’s definitely sick and there’s a guy that’s ignoring her,” the woman told a male dispatcher.

During the call, the dispatcher argued with the woman over whether there really was an emergency.

“I cannot do anything for you for the quality of the hospital. ... It is not an emergency. It is not an emergency ma’am,” he said.

“You’re not here to see how they’re treating her,” the woman replied.

The dispatcher refused to call paramedics and told the woman that she should contact hospital supervisors “and let them know” if she is unhappy.

‘May God strike you too’
“May God strike you too for acting the way you just acted,” the woman said finally.

“No, negative ma’am, you’re the one,” he said.

The incident was the latest high-profile lapse at King-Harbor, formerly known as King/Drew. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is investigating claims of recent patient care breakdowns, including Rodriguez’s case.

Federal inspectors last week said emergency room patients were in “immediate jeopardy” of harm or death, and King-Harbor was given 23 days to shape up or risk losing federal funding.

‘Fundamentally a failure of caring’
Dr. Bruce Chernof, director of the county Department of Health Services, which oversees the facility, has called Rodriguez’s death “inexcusable” and said it was “important to understand that this was fundamentally a failure of caring.” He has said conditions are improving, though.

A call Wednesday seeking comment about the 911 tapes from the department’s communications office, which handles information about the hospital, was not immediately returned.

Dr. Roger Peeks, the chief medical officer at the hospital, was placed on “ordered absence” Monday, the Times reported. Health officials declined to elaborate, saying it was a personnel matter. Dr. Robert Splawn, chief medical officer for the health department, was named interim chief medical officer, the newspaper said.

The State of California is quite broke you know. So the poor people living there, that want and need medical care (and deserve to have)are just not high priority. The State of California prefers to fill the jails and prisons with petty drug charges. Imagine a year locked up for a $20.00 bag of dope, (a felony) at the cost of $30,000.00+ (per inmate) Do you have any idea what good that does?
Remember their "Get tough on crime? How about all the Death Row Inmates? Just supporting them and keeping them alive, (for about 20 years, that is,AFTER being "SENTENCED to Death") Well does any one know the yearly cost of that x 20 years? California would rather do what the rich and beautiful citizens want, and guess what? Those are the same people that can't see the forest, for the trees! I wish they would close that hospital, but that's not the answer. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. And How dare ANYONE to judge or in any way belittle, condemn or even think of with holding any medical care for anybody! Everyone that has the "luxury" of affording quality health care in this country has much to learn! What happened to Ms.Edith Isabel Rodriguez is appalling!

I AM FAMOUS NOW...

I was born today. One of ten. My daddy was very famous. I have lots of half brothers and sisters. My mother is very famous. Since she got famous, she only has puppies. No more loving hands. No more fun trips...just puppies. She is always sad when they leave her.

I left home today. I didn't want to go, so I hid behind my mama and my 3 littermates that were left. I didn't like you. But one day they said I would be famous. I wonder-is famous the same as fun and good times? So you picked me up and carried me away, even though you were concerned about me hiding from you. I don't think you liked me.

My new home is far away. I am scared and afraid. My heart says, "BE BRAVE". My ancestors were. Did they go to "good homes", like mine? I'm hungry because I can't eat too much because it will be bad for my bones. I can't bite or snap when the children are mean to me. I just run and play and pretend I am in a big green fields with butterflies and robins and frogs. I can't understand why they kick me.

I am quiet but the man hits and says loud things. The lady doesn't feed me good things like I had with my mother. She just throws dry food on the ground, then goes away before I can come too close for touching and petting. Sometimes my food smells bad but I eat it anyway..

Today I had ten puppies. They are so wonderful and warm. Am I famous now? I wish I could play with them, but they are so tiny. I am so young and playful that it is hard to lay here in this hole under the house nursing my puppies. They are crying now. I am so hungry. I scratch and worry at my fur. I wish someone would throw me some food. I am also very thirsty.

Now I have eight puppies. They got cold in the night and I could not make them warm again. They are gone. We are all very weak. Maybe if I take them all out on the porch, we could get some food?

Today they took us away. Someone grabbed my puppies. They cried and whimpered. We were put into a truck with boxes in it. Are my babies famous now? I hope so because I miss them. They are gone, and this new place smells of urine, fear and sickness. Why am I here? I was beautiful and proud like my ancestors. Now I am hungry, dirty, in pain and unwanted. Maybe the worst is unwanted. No one came although I tried to be good.

Today someone came. They put a rope on me and led me to a room that was very clean and had a shiny table. They put me on the table and someone held me and hugged me. It felt so good!! Then I felt tired and laid down in the arms of someone who cared.

I AM FAMOUS NOW. TODAY SOMEONE CARED.
